The food was definitely worth it. You will have to get the lamb kebob. The chef is from Lebanon and cooks with authentic seasoning and spice. With that said, the waiter was not as professional as I expected for the price we were paying, he should tone down a bit. The skull ring on his finger was a bit off. But for a local change, the food is remarkably great.

Intrigued that a middle eastern spot has finally opened in Hilton Head we made a reservation. It is situated in the high density tourist area at Shelter Cove that we have not returned to since a disastrous experience at San Miguel (will never go back). It is not harbour facing like all the other eateries in the Cove which was a letdown as we were seated in the outdoor section of M.H. grill. The humus appetizer was a little tasteless and the pita far from fresh so we nervously anticipated our mains of Beef and Chicken kakobs were cooked to perfection with the tastiest rice I had at any resto of this type. I am sure we will try this spot again.

Delicious! We went twice in one week while vacationing. The wait staff is friendly and explained the Lebanese food we were unfamiliar with. We loved the kebabs, meat pie and shawarma sandiwxhes.

Couldn't have asked for better. Got the restaurant week special. $20.15 for soup, entree, and dessert. The Combo kabob was awesome as was the soup. The baklava was a bit different than I've had before. Not bad, just different. The wait staff was very attentive. Would go back next time we're on the island.

I'm not certain that the chef is trained at preparing these style of meals. This is not an attempt to disparage this restaurant because the people were friendly but the meal left a lot to be desired. We had the rack of lamb and lamb kabab and neither were season well. I would not go back, I would rather spend less on a pizza and understand better why the food standard is sub par.

What a find! We were in the Hilton Head, SC area and found this wonderful restaurant. We were greeted by the owner, Simon, who was a delight! Our server was friendly and very attentive. The food was magnificent. We had grape leaves, Greek salad and the lamb kabob. The lamb was delicious and cooked as we requested. This was authentic cuisine at its finest, and at a very fair price.

Went here for lunch with our 3 kiddos. We ate outside under the covered patio, which was a nice atmosphere. The hubs and I split the chicken and beef shawarma, which was amazing. Our two boys split beef kabob platter & our daughter had the lentil soup. It was all very fresh. Meats had wonderful flavor. Garlic and tahini sauces paired very well meats! We will def. eat here again when we're on HH island!

Delicious appetizers (try the falafel!), really good entrées, and a fantastic knafeh for dessert. We'd never heard of this dessert - sweet cheese with pastry and syrup....it was amazing. The staff is also so friendly, and so professional! They explained the origins and ingredients of all our food to us and encouraged us to try interesting dishes that everyone loved. A must try!

Absolutely great find on HHI! We had the most wonderful meal and service. I split the chicken sharwarma which came with deliciously roasted chicken, a plentiful bed of rice and delicious veggies. It was the perfect spot for our dinner. Additionally, I cannot rave enough about the service. It was quite empty, but our waitress was beyond helpful and accomodating. We even got a 10% discount for being from the Marriott unasked for! Protip: it is behind La Fontana / the pizzeria if you turn left from the center entrance. The rest of the complex is beautiful to walk around with harbour views and small stores. We will be back!

Good atmosphere especially sitting outside in front of the boardwalk. Service was also good. The food was decent with a couple of exceptions. The vegetables were overly seasoned and the kids pizza was overly sweet. All in all a tad overpriced for the food alone but the relaxing atmosphere compensated.

Excellent choice. The service was slow due to a stafing issue, but the flavor and presentation made up for it. I had the mixed Shawarma Platter and it was GREAT.

We chose this restaurant based on reviews from other yelpers and found the service to be exceptional and the food acceptable. Two of the diners ordered the chicken share a, which was quite moist and delicious. The tuna and chicken kabobs were also delicious and generous in portion size. The last diner ordered mahi mahi, which was a bit over cooked and on the small side compared to the other entrees. White wine, although served in a chilled glass was too warm. The ambiance is absent, but the service is friendly.

Extremely poor experience all around. First they lost our reservation so they were not ready for our group. Kids meals are $7 - this is a crazy price for a kids meal that doesn't include drink or ice cream - nothing special at all. We ordered the kids pizza as a safe choice what a mistake. Our son who basically never turns down pizza ate one slice and said it tasted funny. The food was mediocre at best. Beware there is a $5 charge for sharing a plate, which is fine but I think a good server should notify you when you order. Service was aweful, entrees were brought out separately with 10 minute waits between each. It took 30 minutes to finally pay the bill. The whole experience for 2 kids meals, 1 platter shared and water was $46! Btw the bathroom is a 1 holer. There is quality and the appearance of quality. It is important to know the difference.

Stopped in wanting to try this place for a while. It was a little off putting where the restroom is located, but most places located in shelter cove don't have a private restroom so at least I didn't have to walk far. We sat at the bar on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was moderately busy with a few larger groups. The bartender was sweet, attentive, and informative. Very welcoming to me never having had Lebanese food. We had the sampler platter with hummus, baba ganoush, and falafel. The falafel was the best I have ever had at any other Mediterranean restaurants. I and the spinach feta pie and the tabbouleh. All very good and very filling. This is a very good price, location and atmosphere. Will definitely visit in the future!

Nice location in the Marine . Price per dish around 6/7$ and 14/17$ for main course . Also some chicken nuggets for kids (but I remind you that you are in a Mediterranean restaurant ..)

Excellent food and service!!!!!!! If you are familiar with Mideast food this place will exceed your expectations!!!! And if you are wondering whether to eat Mideast food for the first time then is should be your first stop. From the hummus and babaganoush to the varitiy of kabobs you will not know where to start. Simply, great food and reasonably priced.

Fantastic find in the middle of boring choices! We had the Chicken Schwarma and the beef kofta sandwich. We each had tabbouleh instead of fries. Light, refreshing, yet very filling. Highly recommend.

Came here for dinner as we were walking around the marina strictly on the basis of Yelp reviews and the fact hat it was one more star than the closest competitor. We had three apps - babaghanouj, stuffed grape leaves and tabouleh. There are a few seasonings that the chef especially seems to like - lemon and salt. I am not sure we could taste anything else - were hungry to no end, so pushed it down with bread and washed it down with a gallon of water. The grape leaves in particular were hard/stiff, over salted and too cold. Frankly, the ones at the Whole Foods salad bar are spectacular relative to what I had here. My wife had the seafood platter. Actually what she had were three shrimp, but she did order the platter, which went mostly uneaten. I am bumping this up a star from what I think it deserves solely on the basis of food because the waitress was actually very nice and courteous, and they had guitar playing, making for a nice atmosphere.

To be honest I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was despite the yelp reviews. I had a combo with Lamb, chicken and Steak and all 3 were delicious. The beef was almost like a filet it was so tender. All three were on kabobs. My wife had chicken and beef that had been cooked on a vertical rotisserie and though very good had to take back seat to my Kabobs. Overall this is a GREAT timing experience and this is one of the better meals of the week I had on HHI. The flavors of this style of cooking combined with great service and very reasonable prices are hard to match on the island.

We just had such an amazing dinner here. Excellent food and service, and so reasonably priced. We came here because we have a vegan in the family, and MHBG is one of the few vegan friendly restaurants on the island, with several nice options to choose from. We got the MH appetizer sampler with babaganoush, hummus, and stuffed grape leaves. For dinner, we had the kafta kabobs (my dish - delicious, cooked to perfection), vegetable kabobs, Greek salad with shrimp, and the fettoush (sp?) salad with grilled chicken. We also got a side of falafel, which was light and crispy, not overly saturated in oil like so many places. We come to HHI every year, and this place is now on our return-to list. So good!

Dinner tonight. What a delightful place. Delicious authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Chicken Kabob very nice Chicken Schwarma moist and tasty and delicious. Huge portions. Friendly friendly friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Outside seating. Good wine and beer selection. A must for dinner in Hilton Head. Right in Shelter Cove / Harbor point

Very strange place. The owner sat outside with me almost the entire time I was there slouching and yelling to people they knew. It was so unprofessional. The chicken shwarma was awful, meat so thin it had no taste. Waitstaff great though. You would think they would have lamb on menu.

This was another Yelp find, again, because it's quite difficult to find places to eat before 5pm in HHI. The food was really great. The atmosphere is really nice. They treated us like we were visiting family members. It's right on the harbor and there are two nice souvenir shops across the way... It was a cold and rainy winter day so we were pretty much the only people around, but the lovely lady who had served us, chased us down in one of the souvenir shops when my father left his American express card on the table. Very kind of her!! Not fun to lose something like that thousands of miles from home!

We ended up here because Kingfisher wasn't opened yet and we're lucky we did! We had the Mediterranean Sampler and everything was fresh. He had the Mahi Mahi Special and it was yummy! I had the seafood platter again good. Didn't give five stars because scallops were a little under cooked. On a good note cinnamon rice was yummy.

Beautiful outdoor bar. Paul is a great bartender! ask him for suggestions around town and don't forget to order the kibbi! We stopped in for an afternoon snack and a few drinks... Kid friendly and relaxed...

Food was good. Tea was not freshly brewed. Prices high due to location. Location however gives nice view of the marina.

We are visiting from Chicago and wanted good food for take out. Food on HH can be pricey but lacking taste. Not this place! The food was authentic and delicious. We ordered falafel and meat pie, both were amazing. The owners and staff were friendly and courteous. We are planning to return again with our children. Give it a try!!!

The place has little ambiance upon looking inside the front door but it's a quaint place with lots of character and great food and service inside. Even the chef/owner (not sure maybe both) came out and asked about the food demonstrating a personal touch. I had butternut squash soup and it wasn't the best I'd ever tasted but it was really delicious. I sat near the bar and watched football on a cold day and drank wine and ate soup-perfect. Then I topped it off with the freshest salad of the season and it was delicious. I spent $30 on soup, salad and 2 glasses of wine, but the glasses were full servings, not those etched for a swallow and looking back on it I enjoyed what I bought with this $30 much more than my dinner elsewhere later in the evening.

Pretty good to average Greek food. We ate outside under a pleasant evening. Good lighting and plenty of tables. We shared a Greek salad and the seafood platter. Both were good, not great. The salad had lots of feta, tomatoes and other veggies, but a little too much dressing. The seafood platter was tasty, but only 3 scallops and 3 shrimp. It would have been nice if they served pita and olive oil as other Greek places tend to. The Shwarma at the next table looked good; maybe get that next time. Wait staff were attentive.

Thursday nights are slow in most restaurants but not Mediterranean Harbor Bar and Grill. The meal was great, hot, tasty, and interesting. Our waitress, Sanae, was knowledgable, friendly, and attentive.

We're disappointed and somewhat angry that a reservation made on Yelp didn't acknowledge the place was closed on Christmas Eve. Arriving at a dark place we found no sign indicating it would be closed on the door. Fortunately we got the last table at the Ruan Thai restaurant. Otherwise we four would have been up the creek.

Service was not the best. Food was good. All the dishes come with same sides rice and veggies. Pricey because of the location.

Food & service awesome, my sitti would be proud. Only draw naw back was no restroom for guests, really is that even legal? Hubby had nightly special & i had meat pie & tabollli. I would return for sure even though no bathroom. Really good food!

I just had the BEST lunch at Mediterranean Harbour in Shelter Cove. I was invited by a friend who introduced me to their fabulous menu, including a great ending to our meal with baklava and ice cream! I would highly recommend this restaurant whether visiting Hilton Head Island for vacation or a resident of our lovely island!

Was in area and stopped in by chance - so glad we did. Recommend the M.H.Sampler Platter choosing hummus, Sambosik and falafel. Warm attentive service. Bloody Mary good too. Will be back.

This is a real gem. We were visiting from New Jersey & looking for something a little different, and came across this great restaurant on Yelp. It's authentic Mediterranean & Lebanese, with the spices flown in from Lebanon and a true family effort to prepare every dish daily. The food is delicious, and my 9 & 11 year olds ate everything that was put in front of them & then begged us to go back again the next day! Prices are very reasonable & service is excellent. Go, you won't regret it!

The food was good but you have to have a taste for Mediterranean food for sure. The meat has a ginger like taste that is good but not for everyone. The service wasn't really that great though. There was really only one server for the indoor seating and he was working hard but it would be about a 7-10 minute wait before we would get a drink refill. Also he forgot the pita bread and would rush away before we could ask for something. Also there was something in the salads that made my eyes burn pretty bad. Over all it was a pretty meh experience.
